Huckabee lets loose on Jeff Flake: ‘Selfish narcissist’ who should ‘go hide in an elevator’

ㅤ"’Flake is a selfish narcissist who would stop one of the few things he actually could do for his country-confirm responsible judges,’ Huckabee wrote. ‘His hate of @realDonaldTrump exceeds his sense of duty. His proposal is unconstitutional anyway.’
ㅤ’Good riddance!’ Huckabee wrote of Flake, who is retiring in early January. ‘Go hide in an elevator!’"

ㅤô¿ô …Perfect description and metaphor. Praise be to God that the GOP will be rid of Flake in 2019 and still maintain a Senate majority !!

Senate panel cancels votes on Trump court picks amid Flake standoff

ㅤ"Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced Wednesday that he is canceling votes on nearly two dozen of President Trump’s judicial nominees that were expected to come up in the Judiciary Committee this week.
ㅤThe cancellation of the committee’s Thursday business meeting comes as Senate Republicans are in a standoff with outgoing Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who has vowed to oppose all court picks until he gets a vote on legislation protecting special counsel Robert Mueller.
ㅤThe notification from the Judiciary Committee didn’t specify when, or if, the committee votes on the nominations would be rescheduled. Six circuit court nominees had been expected to get a vote, as well as 15 district court nominees."

GOP Officials Slam Flake: 'He's A Pompous A** Who Has Lost His F**king Mind'

ㅤ"The outrage against Flake came after he changed his mind from voting to confirm Kavanaugh to wanting an FBI investigation completed so that he would ‘feel better.’
ㅤ’He betrayed the Republican Party and went full-Democrat,’ the official said, adding that Flake’s decision to call for an FBI investigation was short-sighted because of how that move puts the vacant Supreme Court seat in jeopardy. ‘He did not consider how his actions will affect the America that his grandchildren will grow up in and whether they will have the same freedoms that we have today.’"

‘FLAKE NEWS’: Senator Says He’s Not Thwarting Supreme Court Nomination

ㅤ"Sen Jeff Flake (R) serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which will hold the hearings to confirm Kavanaugh. The committee’s chairman, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), told Politico the Kavanaugh hearings will be likely be pushed back to September, meaning Flake’s trip won’t affect President Donald Trump’s second Supreme Court pick.
ㅤShould the hearings indeed be pushed back, the Senate will have a short window to confirm Kavanaugh to meet Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) October 1 deadline."ㅤ

Flake: If GOP can't stand up for free trade 'what are we here for?'

ㅤô¿ô …Flake is truly a moron. Teddie Roosevelt was one of greatest Republican presidents in history, and he was an economic nationalist. Because it was required during his Presidency. Stay flexible.ㅤ

Flake doesn't rule out challenging Trump in 2020

ㅤ"Anyone mounting a challenge to Trump in a GOP primary would face significant obstacles. Nonetheless, speculation that Trump will see a challenge from his own party has run rampant, with Ohio Gov. John Kasich often mentioned as another possible candidate."

Senate rejects centrist immigration bill after Trump veto threat

Pictured: Lindsey Graham

ㅤ”The centrist deal, backed by Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Jeff Flake (Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.) and other Republicans, represented perhaps the best chance to advance legislation in the Senate, but was opposed by Trump and his allies in part because it did not cover all four immigration ‘pillars’ he had demanded.”

Lindsey Graham Crosses the Line — Gets Himself Booted From White House Immigration Discussions

Pictured: Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)

ㅤ”A GOP aide told the Examiner that allowing Graham to take part in immigration discussions could ruin the chances of any deal being reached on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
ㅤ’Anything that Graham is a leader on is, honestly, dead on arrival in terms of the White House and also in the House,’ the aide told the publication. ‘The problem right now, even more than policies, is the personalities, the people who want to spearhead their sides of the aisle. I don’t think Graham carries weight in the GOP conference.’
ㅤStaffers within the White House also said Durbin would be difficult to work with on the issue.
ㅤ’I respect Durbin and the rest of them, but their version of solving this problem is not the President’s version of solving this problem,’ a senior White House aide said. ‘What Sen. Graham, Sen. Durbin, Sen. Flake, those kinds of people are doing relative to a DACA bill is just not where [Trump] is, and not where the Senate and the House is.'”

ㅤô¿ô …I say it’s about time.

Arizona Poll: Likely Republican Primary Voters Favor Dr. Kelli Ward

ㅤ”Respondents were given six names as well as the options ‘undecided’ and ‘refused’ to answer the question, ‘If the Republican Primary for US Senate were held today and your choices were (read choices from below), who would you vote for?’ The names listed as options were former Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward, Rep. Martha McSally, former Rep. Matt Salmon, Rep. David Schweikert, former Rep. John Shadegg, and Arizona Board of Regents member Jay Heiler.
ㅤWard took the lead with 26.4 percent. Eight points behind was McSally with 18.6 percent. Salmon trailed with just 10.4 percent with the three other names polling in the low to mid-single digits. Undecideds were just 28 percent with ten months left until Arizona’s August 28, 2018, primary election day. Just over six percent refused to answer the question.”

Flake retirement could help GOP save the Senate

ㅤ”Democrats’ narrow path back to the Senate majority in 2018 runs directly through Arizona, and a Republican hold there would close it completely. Democrats currently have 48 senators, three seats shy of a majority, and have to defend 10 states Trump won. But they are attacking Republican seats in Nevada and Arizona and hold out hope for an upset in a deep-red state like Texas or Tennessee.”

Flake announces retirement as he denounces Trump

ㅤ”‘We must never adjust to the coarseness of our dialogue, with the tone set up at the top,’ Flake said. ‘We must never accept the deadly sundering of our country. The personal attacks, threats against principles and freedoms and institutions, and flagrant disregard for decency.’
ㅤ’Reckless, outrageous and undignified behavior has become excused as telling it like it is when it is actually just reckless, outrageous and undignified,’ Flake continued. ‘And when such behavior emanates from the top of our government, it is something else. It is dangerous to a democracy.'”

ㅤô¿ô …It’s dawned on me where the Flakes are coming from. They’re Royalists. They expect government leaders to behave as Nobility. They are the people who still live in the 19th century. Good riddance.
